I have many memories from the mid 80's and 90's spending time with Steve and the gang getting together for summer steak cookouts often at Steves house, early days in the ghetto ,going up north, lost touch over the past years but pray for the family and friends of Steve through this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Dale Hendrickson

Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

Do not go gentle into that good night, old age should burn and rave at the close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, because their words had forked no lightening, they do not go gentle into that good night. And you, my friend, there on the sad height, curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray. Do not go gentle into that good night.

A Dylan Thomas poem that I have recited during these times.......My heart is heavy.

What can I say Steve? You were always a such a positive, upbeat guy. On the worst days, you could always make everything better and put things in perspective. I will remember and will continue remembering the laughter. Geez, We had the "Fun Meter" spinning lots of times. Who am I going to ask about wrestling, baseball and football ? I only wished I would have dug out those photo albums with all the pro wrestlers to show you. I'm also going treasure the other turquoise colored sock we used as a "hand warmer" . That was special. I really am going to miss not seeing you reading the newspaper when I stop for a burger or pizza. This is going to be tough Steve. You were loved by many and will be missed. Journey well, my friend.
