Making Arrangements

OpTIONS FOR EVERYONE

At Huehns Funeral Home, Inc. & Door County Crematory LLC, our family and staff will be here to help you every step of the arrangement process. Our goal is to alleviate you having to think of of the immediate details, notifications, and coordination efforts, so that you can focus on being with your family and friends in the days following a loss of a loved one. Depending on desired final care for your loved one, we offer all of the various kinds of funeral merchandise necessary to assist with that care. While we have a lot of burial and cremation merchandise available right here at the funeral home, we can also help order in others so your loved one's life is honored and celebrated with every selection your family makes.

Caskets
Caskets can be made from various woods, metals, and steel. You can choose from many different styles available at a range of respective prices. Many caskets offer the ability for personalization to help honor and celebrate a person's life. Our funeral home offers the only full-casket selection room in Sturgeon Bay and Door County. While do have access to electronic displays and litho photographs for hundreds of other available options, we understand the importance seeing the (entire) casket your family may be considering, and so we have a variety of full-size caskets on display and immediately available at our funeral home.

Outer Burial Containers and Burial Vaults
Cemeteries throughout Door County, the rest of the state, and even in other states usually require an outer burial container to encase and protect the casket and maintain the actual grave over time. The information contained in the following link illustrates the protective efforts of an outer burial container: http://kiosk.brown-wilbert.com/Vaults/WhyVault.html

Cemetery Monuments and Memorials
Our funeral home helps finalize the remaining inscription/engraving needed for your loved one's cemetery monument or marker with the original monument company who created the stone. A memorial marker stands the test of time and serves as a physical reminder of a life celebrated and remembered. It provides a location for friends and family to visit and pay respects for years to come. Here are a list of monument companies who have assisted Door County families in recent years, in order of their proximity to our funeral home:

Urns
For families who wish to have cremation, we have a variety of metal, wood, stone, plastic, and biodegradable urns on display and immediately available at the funeral home. We also have access to thousands of urns from our various urn providers and manufacturers.

Urn Vaults
Similar to a burial vault, if you plan to bury the urn, many cemeteries require a vault in order to protect the urn and the surrounding earth.

Cremation Caskets

For those who choose cremation with a traditional funeral service, we offer cremation caskets built specifically for cremation.

Flowers
We work with local florists who offer a beautiful selection of flowers for the visitation, funeral, memorial, or graveside service. Flowers can be self-standing or arranged specifically for a casket or urn. Select flowers for a current service.
