We were saddened to hear that "One of Door County's Own" has passed away. Chip was a legend in his own time. He was a brilliant mind, and never wanted to pass up a good engineering problem when it came to cars. He was a private man, and wanted it that way, but he was also a very generous man when someone asked him for help.

Our condolences to Chip's family and friends.

Chip was a good friend who " told it like it was ". Sometimes weather you liked it or not, but that was Chip. I respected him greatly for that and many other things. I'm proud to say He was one of my very few good friends. He will be missed........

Miles and I will miss Chip! We are incredibly sad to hear he has passed away. Chip was a regular and welcome visitor to our art welding shop. He was an inspiration, and his dry sense of humor was a joy. Our sympathy to his family, he will be missed.

We all enjoyed having Chip in the Bay Flyers Remote Control Airplane Club. He was always friendly and had a lot of good ideas. He loved many different types of planes and liked working and tinkering on them. We will miss him!

Chip was a Great Friend who endured many setbacks the last 15 years of his life, but reluctantly accepted them and learned to cope with struggles beyond his control, From his special way of just saying HI He would always leave me with asmile and a chuckle. Chip rebuilt my Jeep engines and helped me mechanically in the 90"s and I will always remember the feeling working beside Him, a professional, I will think of Him every time I fire one up. He had a special sense of humor that made him Chip!! We will miss Chip,

Chip was one of the nicest people I have ever known. We graduated from high school together.

He was always building motors and once built one in the basement too large to get out the door, so he had to dismantle the thing.I can still hear the pipes he used to rig up on his mom's convertible when she went to Florida.

I wish him great peace.

Sincerely,

Susie
