I regret having lost contact over the past years.
Rita and you kids were a high point of my life.
I've just turned 80 now and have three paintings
done by Alex Anderson that I would like to pass on.
One is of the group of us: Rita, Myself, and the 3 of you, teenagers
The two others are of Rita, at least Alex's view of her.
Please contact me and I'll send pictures - Rita loved pictures.

Hello Peter, it is so nice to here from you. I hope you are well.
I moved mom to Wisconsin when she turned 87. My husband and I bought her a little house next store to us. She loved it. We took great care of her, many old friends came out to visit, Bonnie jones, Holgie, her sister Addie and of course John his wife sue there kids Josh his daughter. She truly enjoyed her later year. She took writing classes, exercise classes for the elderly. She died one month before her 92nd birthday. It was very fast. My husband and I took her to the hospital, They pumped her full of fluids, she was feeling good. When I was leaving for the night she reminded me to bring her make up The next morning. They called at two in the morning and said she was unconscious and it would not be long. My husband my daughters and I went to the hospital and stayed with her till she passed. I think she Wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
I would love the pictures. As you know mom is not a saver. She moved out here with a backpack.
I also have fond memories of our time as a family.
Looking forward to hearIng from you.

My dear Abbey - I just sat down to read another obit when I discovered that your Mom has passed. I am so, truly, sad for you and your family. I didn't know her but she raised a wonderful daughter. I'm so glad that we've had our recent conversations. We'll talk soon.
Again - my deepest sympathies to you and your family.
Fondly, Yvonne Boettcher

Was sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I met her last year at a Writer's Class and found her to be just charming and encouraging. She also had most interesting stories to share. I hope you have heard many of them and are able to keep them in your memory. May God bring you comfort and help you hold fast precious memories. I am richer from having met her.

It wasn't that so long ago, only few days I spoke to you on the phone for the last time. You Rita were a dear friend and fellow interesting conversationalist . You had a great memory and personal viewpoint on life and, too, on death. I will miss our talks and friendship more than words can express. We shared a lot of mutual interesting subjects, art, writers, music, politics. You were an encouragement to see always the brighter side of an otherwise negative thought. You lived a good long interesting life. You at times spoke of it but you did not live in the past, you were always aware of the present situation . It was a pleasure to have known you and it seemed that I had always known you. My dearest sympathies also go out to your children.

Abbey ( and family)
I'm very sad to hear this news. Rita was "one of a kind". I can't ever recall her looking nothing but gorgeous with her beautiful smile always shining.
Time with her was always a good time- if even for a short time. She always made us laugh. My heart is heavy for you - I know she will be missed by all, that were fortunate to know her. Love you, siobhan
