My family and I are so sad to hear of Peter's passing. I was a caretaker for Peter for many years and we spent many hours together a week. One of my favorite memories is that Peter would never remember my name, but would always remember my husband Bruce's name although he'd maybe see Bruce once a month. Whenever we would talk, I was always referred to as Bruce's wife, rather than Kerry. When my daughter was in the hospital, Peter sent a get well card which included a few pieces of gum for her, he always thought of others and was generous like that. Peter was such a kind and caring man, I will sure miss him.

It was with great sadness that we learned of Peter's passing. He was a kind and gentle soul; always with a ready smile. I have many fond memories of him. Our condolences to the entire Gunnlaugsson family.

Uncle Peter was such a sweet and kind man. He would get so excited when family would come for a visit. He would always ask Grandma if he could make coffee and he always wanted to share his pack of gum sticks. He was so eager to please. I know he is reunited with his dad and beloved mom. Rest In Peace Uncle Peter.

Our prayers to the family. I remember Uncle Pete as a young girl on the island and later in my life he always remembered me as Everett's girl.

Peter was an outstanding man! Always a gentlemen. He enjoyed going to bingo with Kathy on Wednesday and the races on Saturday nights. He enjoyed getting the mail, shopping, and visiting family and friends. He also enjoyed and appreciated the care of Cindy S. and Dawn L. and playing Kings corner with Randy W. and I. A master at putting puzzles together, and sitting in the lawn chair in the front yard and watching cars and people go by. He also enjoyed watching me iron his shirts, the way his Momma did. He would watch me until it was ironed and hung on the hanger, I'm glad I had the privilege of caring for him. He was a one in a million kind of man. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. Rest in Peace Peter. Thanks for all the precious memories-

Years ago I was one of Peter's caregivers. He was such a gentle soul with a loving heart and the biggest smile for everyone. My thoughts and prayers are with all his family. May he now rest in peace.

We're so sorry for your family's loss. We loved Peter like he was part of our family. I absolutely loved being a caregiver for him. Always smiling, happy to see us, full of energy and very loving. I've enjoyed seeing him at bowling, just one if the kindest gentleman I've ever known. He will be sadly missed by many, but forever in our hearts.
