I attended Mickey's funeral yesterday with Debbie Danis Estes... to honor Mickey and her family, as well as represent the Marsh clan, another STL family who has been vacationing in Whitefish Bay since the late 1940's. Many of us played with the Quinlan kids. Michael's eulogy was wonderful, filled with love, humor, and respect. The grandchildren brought laughs and tears as they relayed their fondest memories of their grandmother. We all admire this life fully lived.

We are forever grateful for Mickey sharing Door County with us. I remember following my father up the beach to talk to Mickey. Hopefully, they are having a drink in heaven.

I would like to offer my condolences to the Quinlan family. 95 years is quite an accomplishment and I know Mickey has left you with many precious memories and will be greatly missed. Hopefully this scripture will give you comfort because Jehovah God (Psalms 83:18) is promising us he will do away with man's worst enemy, death. This is found for us at Rev. 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." (For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt.) Also, for more Bible based comfort visit (www.jw.org search "comfort" or "death") It has provided me with many more scriptures that have given me comfort, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matthew 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises including the resurrection. John 6: 40 tells us: "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day." This is a wonderful promise made to us by our heavenly father and I pray it brings you comfort and hope. Again, I offer my sincere condolences to the family. Thinking of the Quinlan's this week end. One of the last times I saw your mom was in Chicago walking down the street. She recognized my sister and me right away from Door County. Always so nice. She'll be missed.

What a great lady who will forever be remembered for her wonderful smile, sense of humor, personality and so many other wonderful traits.

She was like a second Mom to me back on Flora Place. I remember with great fondness how should we often call out to me when I was visiting one of the boys..."are you one of mine?" Oh, Killenberg, it's only you. Come on in." Thanks for sharing Door County with us.

The first time I met Mickey her smile lit up the room and we made a connection that warmed my soul. Her interest in Britain, our royal family, politics and history were a testament to her active and intelligent mind. I always looked forward to bringing her tea and chatting to her about the latest news from my side of the pond. I will light a candle for her and pray that she may rest in Peace and that her family find comfort in the wonderful memories she leaves behind. Farewell to a true Lady. Big hugs, Claire xxx

What a great lady! Mrs. Quinlan always made me feel special whenever I went up to her cottage. She was so smart and fun to talk to on the beach about politics, books, and the culture scene. She was the mother of eleven wonderful children and was a sharp businesswoman in the art world to boot. I am so sad. All of my sympathy to her children and relatives.
Love,
Carol O

To think that beautiful light has been extinguished brings much sadness; however, having had the opportunity to spend time with that beautiful woman was an honor and a joy. My thoughts are with all.
