So sorry to hear about the passing of a wonderful neighbor and super talented friend. Heaven sure received another terrific choir member as they welcome Helen! Bernie and I looked forward to attending the funeral Mass and sharing our hugs with the entire family who we've come to know so well. As you know God had other plans for us, but you are all in our thoughts and prayers!

Dan and family - Helen and I were childhood friends and enjoyed many "sleep-overs", going to the beach, Catholic Girls Camp, picking cherries (she was a champ at that!), and just "hanging out" together! Most recently when Helen came to one of her doctor appointments we enjoyed lunch together in Green Bay. I will miss her so much and you have my deepest sympathy.

My thoughts and prayers are with Helen's family. I have wonderful memories of our trips together, eating out with the group and family gatherings. I'm sure Helen is in heaven now with Herb and they are "dorking" around heaven together. Keep the good memories alive.

Lisa and family,
For twelve years I have looked forward to seeing your mom every week on Reading Buddy Day at St. John Bosco and not just because she brought us wonderful treats. What a wonderful woman- we are blessed that you shared your mom with our school family. I am sad she has left us but I celebrate her homecoming in heaven.

My jaw dropped when I saw this obit, because I certainly didn't expect it. I'm so sorry Lisa, and all the family. I know she was a wonderful mom. I met her at Reading Buddy, where she constantly treated us with her homemade goodies, and I did a story about her for the Compass. Helen was a salt-of-the-earth sort of person. Her life was our gain, her passing our loss--but she has found her reward.. Prayers for her and all the family.
