I got to know Andy through working with him at Care Wisconsin. Andy had a beautiful soul and cared so deeply for others. He loved his children and his family very much and spoke of them often. He will be missed here on Earth, and he will now share his gifts and tenderness in Heaven without struggle. His spirit touched me and all those who knew him. Rest in peace, Andy.

As an apheresis-platelet donor at the Red Cross in Green Bay, I always enjoyed the lengthy "chair time" more when Andy was working. Being the only guy among the apheresis operators, Andy added a guy's point of view to discussions and exuded a brotherly teasing and concern. We talked about outdoor activities and raising children. He instructed me in the art of needle "little pokes" when I explained I was a klutz when it came to giving my diabetic cat insulin shots. When Andy left the Red Cross, I was saddened but hoped he had found an even better niche for his talents among people who needed him more . I cannot explain how really sad I am now. Andy was a treasure and I'm sorry for all who knew him and might have known him. Best wishes for the family and especially for his children.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Andy for a short period of time. He welcomed me to my new job with a smile and a joke. He was always teasing me in a good natured way and I enjoyed getting to know him. His family and friends will remain in my prayers as they navigate this difficult journey.
