Dear David,
By chance I noticed the passing of your father in the Tribune. Marty and Rupe were such great and long term friends of my parents Doris and Bob Petesch. I remember visiting at the house on Coyle Avenue (I believe it was Coyle Ave). Rupe's passing marks the end of an era for me. The last of my parents friends. Please know that my memories are warm and you can be sure that they were proud of you and your beautiful family. I hope you find peace in that.

Dave, I have fond memories of sitting on the shore at Robertson's listening to and sharing Navy and salesmens stories with your dad. Rup was a great guy. Our Condolences.

To ruperts family my heart goes out to you for your loss. Rupert was a great man very kind always helpful and caring. Whenever I'd leave after a visit with him he would tell me to help myself to a boost (he loved them) and to stay sober. I will never forget his kind words and the joy I had taking care of him and Marty. Rest in peace Rupert I hope they have lots of change in heaven for you. Stay soberππ°π΅ππ
