Leanne & I met working together at General Motors. I was her Team Leader & we worked on the medium duty truck line. She was the hardest working lady in the plant. She chose to have the hardest job in the place even though she had the seniority to get a better job. She was an expert on her job as she had done the job for years. I remember when she was getting close to her retirement date we had stole her hammer away from her She had the same hammer for so long that it had actually wore her handprint into the hammer handle We told her we had left the hammer on the truck line & it was lost. On the day of her retirement party we presented her back her hammer that we had mounted on a piece of wood. I wonder what ever happened to that hammer? I think of you and all the fun we had all the time. I know this was posted years after you were gone but I will always remember you. I hope that we will one day meet again. Thank you for all your hard work & for all the years we spent together building trucks.

I’m Leann’s nephew Jacob. That hammer is buried with Leann’s ashes in a bird sanctuary I built at our home in Door County. She was so proud to be part of the Janesville GM family. Thank you so much for your kind words and story. She was the best Aunt anyone could have.

Dear Jacob/Shari and Vicki,
I just had a message from Dad (and Kathy) yesterday and was so sorry to hear that Leann passed away....I feel so sorry she was so ill.... and wish I had kept in touch, really.

We are praying for the family and wish we could do something for you and help you all at this time and bring comfort and peace and healing to your hearts. I feel so far away. Leann was always so kind to us and I loved going to Christmas at Aunt Tootie and Uncle Pat's or Leann's when we were small...It was special and fun and we really loved those times sharing with you all and playing with the doggies and kitties ...or swimming in the summer. Leann was so kind and it was fun playing with you too, Jacob (when you were little and we were of the 'babysitting' age!). We pray for graces and comfort ...that Jesus just surround you and your families with His love.... and welcome Leann's soul with joy....Thank you too for your kind welcome at Gram's when we adopted Timmy (we still have the gray doggie you gave him...even though he is almost 18!) I hope Marin is fine and a happy young lady now.

Tender blessings and comfort...in unity of prayer,
Love Mary (and JB), Timmy and Lucie too

Leanne provided much sunshine and light in our youth. Post highschool years were full of many fun times. Leanne was a gracious hostess and friend. Our paths didn't pass much after our 20's. My last memory was when I happened to stop at the garage sale of her mom's estate. Marilyn, Susan and Vicki were there and we reminisced and laughed our butts off. Of course I filled my convertible with all sorts of keep sakes from hooked rugs, ceramics, tv and Ray's work stand.
Love you Leanne. Rest in peace my friend.

We are so very sorry to learn of the passing of our sweet first cousin & niece, Leann... We grew up close with her & her family and spent many holidays & celebrations with her & her Mom & Dad (my Dad's sister, Tootie) at their home, Leann’s home, & at our Grandma Mabel's. Our deepest sympathies to our cousin Jacob, Vicki, and the family. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. Gone far too soon... RIP, dear Leann... :-( Much Love, Kat

Jerry and I send our sympathy to Jacob and Vickie. Vickie I know you were by Leann everyday spending those previous days with her. She was taken from this world to soon. I know she will be missed by her family.
