We are heart-broken that Kathie left us way to soon. Rob and Jess, you lost both your parents way too young. We are so sad for you both. Both your parents were wonderful people. We have great memories of Packer parties in Waukesha with the neighborhood and wonderful times in Door County with your Mom. It was because of her and with her advice that we bought our first boat in 2000. We fell in love with boating on "Rube" in Door County. She gave us her blessing when we picked out our boat. She taught us many good boating tips. She was always fun to be around whether you were a kid or an adult. Our girls loved her as a piano teacher and "shooting peas" through a pea shooter in DC. And Kerry, we can't imagine how difficult this must be for you. She was so lucky to have you in her life. She's one of those people that no one will ever forget. She was passoniate about so many things and touched so many people in so many different ways. Like her teaching, musical talent, caring for Joe and Lorraine, her love of gardening and the environment/nature, creativity with her art and jewelry, and working for the causes she believed in. She certainly made a difference in this world. Our sypmathy and prayers go out to all of your family. She will be greatly missed but everyone she touched will have wonderful memories of her that will live on.

I am overwhelmed with sadness. Kathie was such a bright light and had such a generous and loving spirit. She was the perfect piano teacher for our son Wil. Our deepest condolences.
