We were honored to consider John a friend for over 20 years. His laugh was infectious, his smile warm, and his devotion and loyalty unwavering. He took the challenges served up to him in life with resolve and strength, and without complaint. We are happy he has won his battle over pain and suffering, and look forward to seeing him again.

My heart is saddened today as I heard of John's passing. I will never forget his kindness throughout all my years in Door. Especially when it came to snowmobiling. Will keep all of his family in my prayers.

Obviously, we are deeply saddened at this news. I have a lot of great memories of my friendship with John, as does Ellen. We shall both miss him a lot, and I believe every time I smell my two stroke Polaris (which he kept running for years) I will think of him.

I am so sorry to hear that my former classmate John has left this world. He was such a positive, brave and caring human being. Because our graduating class (Gibraltar 1980) was so small, we are all very close. Losing John is losing a family member for us. Sending lots of love, prayers and blessings to John's family.
