Ron, you are a friend, coach, mentor and just a great guy. You helped so many people; but I am particularly proud of the company you helped found that is Edrington Americas. A culture of giving-back that you drove so hard. People going the extra mile because they want to, not because they are told to. It says so much about how you lived your life. Tough on the delivery, but with a sense of humour, integrity and above all caring for others. Jean - Sally and my thoughts are with you and your family. The world is smaller without Ron keeping us in check!

Ron made me laugh and inspired me to be a better person. I am trying not to be too sad at this time as Ron would always want us to get the most out of life and was someone who brought positive energy into a room and had absolute integrity. I love the photo on his memorial page as this is how I will remember him, always smiling with that spark of lets do something crazy in his eyes ! Ron and Jean mean a lot to me and so I will reach out to the family in a few months to see how you are all doing. Take care all and live life to the full.

We send our most sincere sympathy to the entire Kapolnek and Rountree family in the passing of Ron. We enjoyed getting to know your wonderful family over the years in Jacksonport. We shared your joy at finding your home and you've all brightened our lives. Ron was an exceptional person as is reflected in your wonderful family. His spirit lives on in your many memories. God Bless you all and when you see the footprints in the sand on your shore be reminded that He is carrying you all forward to be with Ron again in His time. Love and hugs to all. We're sorry we are not able to attend the service in Chicago but will be with you in spirit.

To all of Ron's family,
I was fortunate to work with Ron for 2 & 1/2 years while he was with Edrington in NY. Ron was great to work with and a fountain of knowledge, I learned a great deal from him. More importantly he was a really good person, a family man and a gentleman. We met when we were both turning as Ron put it "double nickels" and had very similar families and we often spoke to each other about them. The pride and love he exuded when he spoke of all his children was so heart warming. Also the love he obviously had for Jean and how much he enjoyed exploring the Big Apple with her, I loved hearing about the weekends in NYC! I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with him but more importantly to have had the opportunity to know such a genuinely good man. He will be sorely missed! My deepest sympathy to all of you.

Dear Jean and all,
You have my deepest sympathies in your loss. Ron called me earlier this year and sounded great. My regret is that I had not reached out to see him and the family before he passed. He will always be remembered to me as a very kind and loving person. It was great to "grow up" with him at the store and get to know the whole family. He was a kind soul. Again sympathies to you all and hope to see you soon.
