James Nicholas Minor, Sr.

February 26, 1945 ~ January 25, 2016 (age 70) 70 Years Old

James Nicholas Minor, Sr., 70, of Sturgeon Bay, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away Monday morning, January 25, 2016, at Ministry Door County Medical Center.

He was born February 26, 1945, in Sturgeon Bay, the son of the late James and Betty (Wagner) Minor. Jim graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School. For years, he worked in the shipyards and with the tugboats around Sturgeon Bay before moving to Chicago where he worked for Reynolds Aluminum in McCook, IL, as a millwright.

Jim served as President of the Hegewisch, IL, Lions Club and was a member of his local union at Reynolds. He coached softball for many years and volunteered in his community. Jim loved to hunt, fish, and build things for the projects around his home. He was a very kind and generous person who would give the shirt off his back for someone in need.

Jim is survived by his two children, Jill (Emiliano) Sitasz, James N. Minor, Jr., all of Chicago; and his granddaughter, Brooke Linn Sitasz, also of Chicago.

Graveside services will be held in spring of 2016. Burial will be in Bayside Cemetery on the Wagner lot.
