Amelia J. (Clark) Payne, 96, of Sheboygan, formerly of Sturgeon Bay, died Thursday morning, October 17, 2013, at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home in Sheboygan.
She was born July 15, 1917, the daughter of the late Sanford and Eva (Mapes) Clark. Amelia attended Sevastopol High School.
Amelia was a member of Random Lake United Church of Christ. She was also a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries in Sheboygan. Amelia enjoyed playing cards solving word search puzzles, dancing, traveling, and especially keeping in touch with friends.
Survivors include her three children, Harold “Harry” (Evelyn) Kohls of Sturgeon Bay, Donald (Donna) Kohls of Maple Heights, Ohio, Bernice (Edward) Henning of Sheboygan Falls; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Raymond (Edith) Clark of Sheboygan; and sister-in-law, Myrtle Clark of Fish Creek.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands; daughter, Gertrude Duman; granddaughter, Jackie Schultze; four brothers and one sister-in-law, Herbie, Gerald, Clifford (Audrey), Frank Clark; and one sister and brother-in-law, Doris (George) Majdacic.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay, with Rev. Richard Feyen, pastor of Hope United Church of Christ in Sturgeon Bay, officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Jacksonport, Tuesday, at 2:30 p.m.
Friends may call on Tuesday, at Huehns Funeral Home, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m.
