William "Crock" Engerson Obituary

     William “Crock” Eric Engerson, 68, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.

     He was born March 14, 1953 in Appleton, son of the late Harold John and Frances “Bonnie” (Milbach) Engerson. He grew up in Door County and attended Gibraltar High School. Crock worked as a security supervisor at Harbor Village Campground and Water Park for 15 years until his retirement in 2016. On August 6, 2016, Crock and Stephanie Christine Zirzow were united in marriage. He enjoyed gold mining, diving, hunting, fishing, and sailing. Crock also loved and was a big fan of Jimmy Buffet.

     Crock will be missed by his loving wife of five years, Stephanie Zirzow-Engerson of Sturgeon Bay; mother, Bonnie Milbach of Sturgeon Bay; children, Crystal (Ash) Heil of Wausau, Eric (Cari) Engerson of Sturgeon Bay, and Hayley (Cole) Wilquet of Green Bay; step-children, Nicole (Kyle) Stuempges of Cudahy, Melissa Pillsbury of Cudahy, and Randi Pillsbury of Sturgeon Bay; grandchildren, Anthony, Ivy, Bianca, Ellie, Bella, Damian, Dominic, Buckley, Tyler, Afton, and Jayda; siblings, Kristin (David “Fox”) Wilz, Cindy Thomson, and John (Mary) Engerson; mother-in-law, Barbara Zirzow of Pensacola, Florida; and nieces and nephews, Hannah Wilz, Tom, John, and Robert Engerson, and Willow and Caleb Webb.

     He was preceded in death by his father, Harold “Happy Jack” Engerson; grandson, Luke Madden; father-in-law, Robert Zirzow; brother-in-law, John “JT” Thomson; paternal grandparents, Harold and Mildred Engerson; and maternal grandparents, Nicholas and Annaceil Milbach.
