Sheri Stahl Obituary

Sheri Ann Stahl, 51, of Fish Creek, died late Friday night, March 21, 2025 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay with her family at her side.

Sheri was born on May 24, 1973 in Sturgeon Bay, WI to David Pizzala and Gloria Pizzala.

Sheri graduated from Sevastopol High School in 1991 and went on to earn a Licensed Practical Nursing degree from NWTC in 1993. She started her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse and went on to work at Door County Medical Center and Aurora Medical Center, at both their Sturgeon Bay and Sister Bay clinics. Sheri was also Door County Coroner for 18 years.

Sheri married Jon Stahl on August 10, 1996 at Fish Creek Community Church.

Sheri was best known for her love of family, her pets and greatest quality of making everyone's day better in at least some small way. She was very into any type of crafting projects. She considered her co-workers as friends and family. Her circle was huge as we are learning, and it comes as no surprise.

Sheri was an avid animal lover and had many different types of pets throughout her life. From her hedgehogs to her baby, her German Shepherd, Shelby. One of her favorite pastimes was creating gifts for friends and family. She was always trying new crafting projects, the latest being beaded pictures. She also would create specially decorated ID badge holders for her co-workers.

Sheri is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jon Stahl, of Fish Creek; parents, David and Gloria Pizzala; two children, Nikolaus Stahl and Jaydin Stahl; son-in-law, Kadryn Kiernan; brother, David (Kelly) Pizzala, Jr.; aunts, Cindy (Jim) Knoll, Jane (Bob) Goggins, John (Lorrie) Brungraber; sister-in-law, Laura (Tom) Anschutz; brother-in-law, TJ Schlaiss (special friend Holly Sternard); father-in-law, Dan Stahl; several nieces and nephews; and her baby, German Shepherd, Shelby.

Sheri is preceded in death by aunt Susie and uncle Jack Weber; and mother-in-law, Tina Stahl.

Her life will be honored with a service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with her friend and former colleague, Dr. David Conger, leading the time of remembrance. Sheri will be laid to rest near family in Zion Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in West Jacksonport. Lunch reception to follow at Zion Lutheran Ev. Church Hall.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and also on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.

Sheri's family would like to thank the staff at Aurora BayCare Medical Center for their compassionate and professional care.

Due to Sheri’s illness and extended stay in the hospital, any financial support for medical and funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated by her family. Support can be sent to GoFundMe.com/Sheri Pizzala Stahl.
