Sharon Ann DeLair, age 75 of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Cherry Cove Assisted Living and Memory Care.
Sharon was born on June 10, 1948, to the late Milton and Patricia (Alger) DeLair in Sturgeon Bay. She is a graduate of Sevastopol High School. She moved to Elma, Washington in the 1980’s for ten years, before returning home to Sturgeon Bay. She worked as a pruning and plant preparation specialist at a local tree nursery. She was also a cook and dishwasher at various restaurants in Sturgeon Bay. She enjoyed fishing, tinkering, and raising rabbits, cats and dogs. Sharon was a member of the Antique Power Association of Valmy.
Sharon is survived by her stepsisters and stepbrothers, Caroll Stuck, Karen Atkinson, Virginia Pratt, and Charles Stuck, all of Washington State; aunts and uncles, Donna DeLair of Sturgeon Bay, John Alger of San Jose, CA, and Edna DeLair of IL; and many cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary DeLair; aunts and uncles, Stanley and Ruth DeLair, Royal DeLair, Vernon and Betty DeLair, Roland DeLair, Orville and Virginia Kugler, Sr., Gerhard and Katherine Zirbel, Dorothy DeLair, Lillian DeLair and two uncles in infancy, Kenneth and Virgil DeLair; and her grandparents.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay. Burial will follow at Bayside Cemetery in the Town of Sevastopol. A luncheon for everyone will follow the burial.
