Rusty Lynne Blakeman

     Rusty Lynne Blakeman, 58, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

     She was born February 1, 1963 in Phoenix, Arizona, daughter of William and Karen Blakeman. She grew up in the Phoenix area and attended Peoria High School. In 1983, Rusty met Charles “Chuck” Reed and the two fell in love. On December 16, 1984, they were united in marriage. In 1991, the family moved to Door County, where Rusty worked as the “lady truck driver” for various companies until her health declined and she had to retire in 2011. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

     Rusty is survived by her husband, Chuck Reed; daughters, Dallas Reed and Shawnee Reed; grandchildren, Ethan, Emere, Brody, Aurora, and Ivy; sister, Bonnie; and father, Bill Blakeman.

     She was preceded in death by her mother, Karen Sandness and brother, William “Billy” Blakeman.

     In honor of Rusty’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
