Robert John Gerdeen

Robert John Gerdeen, 72, of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, passed away on May 14, 2025.

He was born November 3, 1952 and raised in Escanaba, MI by parents, Clarence and Barbara Gerdeen.

Robert worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for most of his life. He was a member of the Bay Area Rats, a motorcycle club, and his greatest passions were working on his Harleys and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Barbara; his sister, Charlotte Fruehauf; and his brother, James Gerdeen.

He is survived by his brother, Joel Gerdeen; sister, Lola Hoes; children, Bernice Lundquist, Matthew Franklin, Virginia Kreil, Leanne Hamilton, Roberta Gerdeen, Joe Zapata, Cynthia Ramírez, Michael Gerdeen, Deborah Gerdeen, Bernadette Gerdeen; and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Robert’s life will be honored with a service on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. (CST) at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.

He will be laid to rest beside his parents in Gardens of Rest Memorial Park in Wells, Michigan on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. (EST).
