Patricia "Trish" S. Konowalski, 74, of Sturgeon Bay passed away peacefully, Friday, February 13, 2026 at home with her husband and sister at her side.
She was born February 25, 1951, to James and Marion (Begg) Sheridan, and lived her early life in Western Springs, IL. Later, she and her parents moved to Short Hills, NJ where she graduated from Milbourn High School and went on to attend Hofstra University on Long Island. When her parents retired to their vacation home in Tomahawk, WI. Trish transferred to UWGB, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in arts and a minor in business. She would meet her future husband, Craig Konowalski, when they worked together at the UWGB Office of Lectures and Performances. They were married at the UWGB Ecumenical Center on December 1, 1978.
In 1979, Trish took an entry level position with AC Nielson Co. at their Green Bay office. She rose through the ranks, over a 22-year career, that ended with her retiring as the Senior VP of Operations for the US division of the global market research company. Following her retirement from the Nielson Co in 2001, she and her husband relocated to Sturgeon Bay, where they worked side by side in their business, CWK Appraisals. In Door County, they appraised over 5,000 homes before retiring in 2024.
Trish was an avid reader, an aspiring painter and an excellent cook who loved to travel with her husband Craig. Trish was a member of Sturgeon Bay Noon Rotary and chaired their annual shipyard tour fund raiser. Trish belonged to Leadership Door County and various book clubs.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Craig of Sturgeon Bay; dear sister, Anne Ruck of Glendale, CA; two cherished sisters in-law, Kathleen Sheridan of Guerneville, CA, Lynn Galiger of Edmonds, WA; her beloved nieces, nephews, and their families.
Preceding her in death were her parents, James and Marion Sheridan; and her brother, Peter Sheridan.
A celebration of her life will be held at Huehns Funeral Home, 1414 Michigan St, Sturgeon Bay on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. A memorial program featuring live performances of a few of Trish’s favorite songs by professional musician friends, will be woven in with readings and stories from her life, at 3:00 p.m. Proceedings will be led by her dear friend Frederick “Doc” Heide. Musical guests will include “Doc”, Mike Raye, Kelly Messer, Jim Knipfer and Bob Starr.
