Patricia "Pat" A. Sternard-Henke

Patricia Ann Marie Sternard-Henke, age 75, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, at her home.

She was born on January 24, 1950, in Sturgeon Bay to the late Donald and Laverne (Mielke) VanDreese. She was married to Gene Dale Sternard on October 18, 1969, in Sturgeon Bay. They later divorced. On July 14, 1989, she married William Wayne Henke, Sr. He preceded her in death on November 30, 2010.

Pat worked as a dietary aide at Door County Memorial Hospital for many years, then at Sevastopol Schools, the Dorchester Nursing Home, and the Cranberry House, all in Sturgeon Bay before her retirement.

She will be missed by her children, Geno (significant other, Missy) Sternard, Crystal Treichel, and William Henke Jr., all of Sturgeon Bay; grandchildren, Megan and Abby Sternard of Luxemburg, Timothy Treichel of Sturgeon Bay, Megan Gregorich of Sturgeon Bay, Billy, Jennifer, and Justyna Henke, all of Sturgeon Bay; three great-grandchildren, Levi, Donald, and Ryan; sister, Donna VanDreese of Sturgeon Bay; and sister-in-law, Linda VanDreese of Sturgeon Bay. She is further survived by other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; children, Timothy Sternard, Larry Lee Henke, Wilford Henke, and Sharon Apfel; and two brothers, Richard VanDreese, and Donald VanDreese.

Even though Pat was part of a blended family, she loved everyone as if they were her own.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay on Friday, March 14, 2025, from Noon until the praying of the Rosary at 1:30 p.m., led by her sister, Donna. Pat will be laid to rest with a private committal in St. Joseph Cemetery in the Town of Sevastopol, with her son, Timothy and parents.
