Patricia Ann Worachek

     Patricia Ann Worachek, 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Sturgeon Bay Health Services.

     She was born June 5, 1939 in Sturgeon Bay, daughter of the late Elmer and Grace (Moore) Worachek. Pat attended St. Joseph Catholic School and then Sturgeon Bay High School, where she graduated with the Class of 1957. Pat continued her education at St. Agnes School of Nursing in Fond du Lac, where she graduated with a degree in nursing in 1960.

     After working for a few years at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Pat and a few of her friends moved to San Francisco, California. In 1981, she decided to return to Milwaukee and worked at St. Luke’s Hospital until her retirement in 2001.

     Pat loved to travel. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and attended Super Bowl I in Los Angeles in 1967. She also enjoyed her flower gardens, knitting her beautiful sweaters, and any kind of needlework.

     Pat will be missed by her sister, Jane (Leon) Hoffman of Sturgeon Bay; niece, Jill (Nick) Hooyman of Appleton; aunt, Gen Moore of Sturgeon Bay; and many cousins.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Pat’s honor on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay. She will be laid to rest beside her parents in Bayside Cemetery.

     Visitation for friends and family will be held on Tuesday at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m.

     Memorial donations may be made in Pat’s name to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
