Patricia Moss Obituary

Patricia Ann Moss, 92, of Milwaukee, formerly of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on April 6, 2026 at Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee with family at her side.

Pat was born February 26,1934 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Vincent Francis Dolan and Aini Dagmar (Pietilainen) Dolan. After graduating from Aquinas High School in 1952, Pat earned her B.S. in Home Economics at Hunter College in New York City and her M.S. from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN in 1957.

Pat was united in marriage to Leonard "Len" William Moss on April 12, 1958 in The Bronx, NY. They moved to Chicago, IL in 1963, and Pat began her teaching career at Immaculata High School in Chicago and later at Mother Theodore Guerin High School in River Grove, IL. In 1980, they moved to Pelham Manor and, later, Pound Ridge, NY where they worked together at Len's media representative firm Seavex, Ltd.

In 1996, Pat and Len retired to Door County, a place they had enjoyed visiting since 1964. They resided on Glidden Drive in Sturgeon Bay. It was here that Pat was able to pursue her passion for the arts. She was an active supporter and member of the Peninsula School of Art in Fish Creek. Her paintings and quilts were often displayed in art shows in Sturgeon Bay.

Pat and Len were blessed to share over 54 years of marriage. Len preceded Pat in death on April 16, 2012. For the last eight years, Pat resided at Eastcastle Place in Milwaukee where she pursued her artistic endeavors and made wonderful friends.

Pat's love remains a lasting presence in the lives of her children, Kevin (Katherine) Moss of Wauwatosa, Stephen (Catherine) Moss of Heber City, UT, Alison (James) Kingsley of Lake Forest, IL, and Patricia (Jeffrey) Manganello of Briarcliff Manor, NY; her 13 grandchildren, Ryan (Kathy) Moss, Daniel Moss, and Caroline Moss, KC (Amiel) Middleman, Kristen (Jacob) Brand, and Jade Moss, Molly Kingsley, Michael Kinglsey, and Bryan (fiancée, Grace Tibbs) Kingsley, and Kate Manganello, Kevin Manganello, Sarah Manganello, and Alison Manganello; great-grandson, Leo Moss; sister, Christine Favus of San Diego, CA; brother-in-law, Gerard (Sally) Moss of Darien, CT; nieces and nephews; and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Judy (William) Dobbins and Nancy (Thomas) Casey; sisters-in-law, Eleanor (John) McSorley and Doreen (Lawrence) Lynch; and other relatives.

Pat's life will be honored with a Mass of Christian Burial prayed at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 110 N. 5th Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235 with Fr. Matthew Rappl as celebrant. She will be laid to rest in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Institute, beside her husband, Len.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

There will be a celebration of life for her friends at East Castle Place at 2505 E Bradford, Milwaukee, WI 53211 on Saturday, May 9 from 1:00pm until 2:30pm in Lindsay Hall. 

Memorials may be given in her honor to the Peninsula School of Art (3900 County F, Fish Creek, WI 54212; www.penart.org/donate).
