Patricia Cole

     Patricia Rose Cole, age 91 of Green Bay, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, in Sturgeon Bay.

     Born on June 22, 1932, to the late David C. and Elsie M. (Wohlfeil) Zuidmulder in Green Bay, Patricia was the eldest of three   children. Throughout her childhood, she enjoyed tap dancing and being a big sister her two younger brothers, David and Donald. She graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1950. 

     She had two beloved children, David and Lisa, with her first spouse, Robert (Bob) Reimer. Patricia was united in marriage to the love of her life Gary C. Cole on July 18, 1980, in Mesa, AZ.  She was a career executive secretary serving in that capacity for three different fortune 500 company executives.       

     Patricia enjoyed showing horses, quilting, reading, shopping, and camping. She was known for her deep love of animals, having owned many dogs and horses over her lifetime. She loved spending time outdoors in Door County and escaping Wisconsin winters for the sunshine in Florida. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints – Oneida Ward.

     Patricia was a devoted mother and grandmother and made sure to attend every significant event in her children and grandchildren’s lives. She will be remembered for her big heart, strong spirit and loyalty to her family and friends.

     She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Gary Cole; daughter, Lisa Poole; son, David (Neva) Reimer; brothers Hon. Donald Zuidmulder and David Zuidmulder; grandchildren, Julia, Aubrey (Kyle), David, Christie (Ben), Parker; six great grandchildren; and her dogs Lily and Annie.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Elsie; son-in-law, Rick Poole; and sister-in-law, Gloria Zuidmulder.

A memorial service for Patricia will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, N6135 Seminary Road, De Pere, WI 54115.
