Marion Buelah Tanck, 92 years, of Egg Harbor died Monday April 27, 2026 at Cherry Cove CBRF in Sturgeon Bay after a short illness.
She was born May 30, 1933 in Brussels, the daughter of the late Frank and Emily (Rankin) Vandertie. Marion had worked for Milwaukee Shoe and Wigwam Sock, Tecumseh engine, and had her own upholstery business at home for 10 years.
On July 16, 1976 she married Robert L. Tanck in Sturgeon Bay. He preceded her in death on February 25, 2007.
Marion was a member of S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Institute. She loved her flower gardens and working outside in her yard cutting lawn with her zero-turn into her 92 years. She liked crocheting and loved shopping with her sisters. She had an amazing sense of humor and was a great cook and baker.
Surviving are her six children, Dale (Christine) Buhr, of Forestville, Wendell (Karen Gardner) Buhr, of Forestville, Carole (Ken) Haase, of Howard, Linda (John Poh) Buhr, of Sturgeon Bay, Jeff (Jackie) Buhr of Kaukauna, Lorie (Jerry LeMere) Bittorf, of Sturgeon Bay; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four step-children, Robert (Robbie) Tanck, Yvonne Tanck, Tim Tanck, Frank (Peggy) Tanck; sisters Mildred Denil, Jeanette Finendale; sisters in-law, Shirley Vandertie and Judy Vandertie, and brother-in-law, Oscar (Judy) Tanck.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; infant son, two grandchildren, Ryan Haase, and Adam Haase; siblings and spouses, Richard (Rose) Vandertie, Raymond, Alvin, Roy, Lindy Vandertie, Wilbur (LaVerne) Vandertie, LaVerne (Norbert) Bretl, Norbert (Kathleen) Vandertie, and Bernice Walter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Matthew Rappl officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Friends may call Monday at Huehns Funeral Home from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
