They had six children, Douglas, Maureen, Joseph, Michael, Mark and Paul. They had a coop in Chicago in the early 50’s followed first by a home in Wheaton, IL and then later, to accommodate a bigger family, a home in Glen Ellyn, IL.      Margaret taught weaving at The Clearing and was president of both the North Shore and Door County Weavers Guilds. She continued weaving and jewelry making into her 90’s. She loved playing bridge. Margaret loved to travel and visited Europe several times, Alaska and many parts of the United States, which she often toured to attend weaving conventions held around the country.

There were many fantastic family gatherings over the years at the dune house on Glidden Drive. Family visited often and frequently. holiday, birthday and anniversaries were celebrated there over 35 years. She spent her final two years with a full-time in-home care person, enjoying the lake view and never-ending birds that she loved as a naturalist and bird watcher.
