Lorene Arnold Obituary

     Lorene Kay Arnold, 79, of Sturgeon Bay, WI, passed away in the comfort of her home on Monday, May 7, 2018.

     She was born October 4, 1938 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of George and Dorothy (Norland) Krause. Lorene graduated from Maine Township High School in 1956. She was united in marriage to John William Arnold on January 20, 1961 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Skokie, IL. They were blessed with over 57 years of marriage.

     Lorene and John moved to Door County, Wisconsin in 2005, and they made their home just north of the city of Sturgeon Bay, in the Town of Egg Harbor.

     Lorene grew up attending St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Des Plaines, IL. After their marriage, she and John remained members of St. Peter’s in Skokie.

     Lorene enjoyed reading and tending to her flowers. She especially liked cooking and entertaining friends and family. Lorene loved spending time her grandchildren.

     Her love will live on in the hearts of her husband, John; children, Steve (Laurie) Arnold of Grayslake, IL, Tim (Jennifer) Arnold of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Sue (Brian) Calvert of Elgin, IL, and Laura (Tony) Temes of West Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Beth and Maddy Arnold, Garrett and Blake Arnold, Nicholas, Anthony, and Thomas Temes, and Scott Arnold; and brother-in-law, Dick (Barbara) Arnold of Des Plaines, IL.

     Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; son, Christopher Arnold; and sister-in-law, Dolores (Joseph) Conley.

     Her life will be honored with a Mass of Christian Burial held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 110 N. 5th Ave., Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235 with Fr. Robert Stegmann as celebrant. Lorene will be laid to rest in Bayside Cemetery.

     Visitation for family and friends will be held at Huehns Funeral Home, 1414 Michigan, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235 on Friday, May 11, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A wake service will conclude the evening. Visitation will continue at Huehns Funeral Home, Saturday morning, at 9:30 a.m. until the time of closing prayers at 10:30 a.m. followed by the procession to church.
