Lois Marcia Anderson

     Lois Marcia Anderson, 90, of Sturgeon Bay, WI, formerly of Fairfield Bay, AR, died Tuesday morning, October 29, 2024 at Bayview Senior Care in Sturgeon Bay where she resided the past three years.

     She was born October 1, 1934, in Fort Wayne, IN, to Reynold C. and Marcella (Rosendal) Reinhartsen. Lois was raised in Chicago, IL.

     Lois married Kenneth Clarence Anderson on June 18, 1954 at the Chicago Norske Club in Illinois. They lived in Waukesha, WI, where Lois taught at Heyer Elementary School for well over 30 years until retirement in 2000. As a teacher, she belonged to the Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC). Together, Lois and Kenneth attended St. Mark's Ev. Lutheran Church in Waukesha.

     They enjoyed spending time on Washington Island, in Door County, WI, where they had a summer home. Lois and Ken retired to Fairfield Bay, AR, where Lois enjoyed her friends, volunteering and teaching Sunday School at Peace Lutheran Church of Edgemont, AR, and line dancing. They also enjoyed traveling around the United States and taking cruises to various Caribbean islands.

     Lois and Kenneth shared over 66 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on November 4, 2020.

     Lois will be missed by her two children, Elizabeth Anderson Welter of Sturgeon Bay, WI and Mark (Jennifer) Anderson of Scottsdale, AZ; granddaughters, Kathryn (Nathaniel Savio) Welter-Savio of Alexandria, VA, Kirsten (Luca Cavallari) Welter of Bologna, Italy, and Bridget (Anthony Cockriel) Welter of Woodbury, MN; great-grandchildren, Mattias, Marlowe, Alexander, Anderson, and Sloane; and other relatives.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, David Reinhartsen.

     No service will be held. Lois will be laid to rest beside her husband, Kenneth, in the columbarium at Peace Lutheran Church, 10849 Edgemont Road, Edgemont, AR 72044.

     Memorials may be given in Lois' honor to your local school.
