Linda Busch Obituary

Linda Susan (Loper) Busch, 74, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, of Sturgeon Bay, WI, passed away at Door County Medical Center in Sturgeon Bay on December 20, 2024 surrounded by family and loved ones.

Linda was born in Iron Mountain, MI on August 7, 1950 to Millard Raymond and Violet Loper, and was the last of six siblings. Linda and her parents moved to Sturgeon Bay before her junior year of high school. That is where she met her high school sweetheart, Daryl Lester Busch. After graduating in 1968, Linda attended beauty school in Green Bay to become a beautician. On October 11, 1969 Linda and Daryl were married at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay, shortly before Daryl's deployment to Vietnam. Upon Daryl's return from the war, it was time to start a family.

Linda was a devoted and loving mother of four sons, her pride and joy. She was a woman of strong faith and thanked God daily for his blessings and leaned into the Lord by trusting his judgment in times of need.

Linda took special joy in raising her kids, going on family picnics, and attending her children's different sporting events throughout the years. She also loved to talk and tell stories about family and loved ones from years gone by, passing those memories down to the next generation.

Linda will be missed by her husband of 55 years, Daryl; four children, John of Sturgeon Bay, Jason (Kristie) of Oak Creek, Adam (Carmon) of Greenville, Alex of Sturgeon Bay; one brother, Les “Popeye” (Margaret) Loper of Iron Mountain, MI; one sister-in-law, Janice (Busch) Brezovec of Sunnyvale, CA; eight grandchildren; Amanda (Tom) Illingworth, Spencer Busch, Cameron Haack-Busch, Carson and Tyson Busch, Adalynn, Elias and Isaac Busch; three great-grandchildren, Jackson and Brody Illingworth, Coleson Busch; special family friend, Troy Resler of Sturgeon Bay; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, Lester and Annabelle Busch; one brother, Raymond Loper; sisters, Leona(Kenneth) McMahon, Shirley (Russell) Walters, Lorraine Loper Rodefelt; and brother In-law, Richard "Dick" Brezovec.

In lieu of flowers, any donations can be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a charity Linda would donate to when she could throughout her life.

Per Linda's final wishes, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be held for Linda at a future date, time and location that is yet to be determined.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Door County Medical Center for Linda's care during her final days and to Huehns Funeral Home for cremation services.

“Rest in peace, dear mother. Our family and heaven gained an angel. Watch over us until we meet again.”

Expressions of sympathy, memories, and photos of Linda may be shared with her family through her tribute page at www.HuehnsFuneralHome.com.
