Kerrin “Karney” E. Demmin-Rae, 88 years, of Menasha and Sturgeon Bay, passed away March 23, 2025 at Waterfall Health in Algoma.
She was born October 5, 1936 in Sturgeon Bay, the daughter of the late Christopher and Edna (Torstenson) Demmin. Kerrin graduated from Sevastopol High School before receiving her LPN certification from Theda Clark Hospital. Kerrin was employed at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah for many years, and at Manor Care Nursing Home in Appleton before her retirement. She loved animals, especially her dogs, Katie and Maggie. Kerrin was a collector of many things, and loved to shop. Kerrin had a great sense of humor.
On October 23, 1987 she married Donald “Digger” W. Rae at Trinity Lutheran Church in Menasha. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2021.
She is survived by the Demmin and Rae relations, including, sisters-in-law, Carol Demmin, Nancy Demmin, Jean (Richard) Toeppler, Shirley (Frank) Erdman, Mary Beth Ganzyk; brothers-in-law, Bill (Linda) Rae, Robert “Bear” David Rae, and Russel (Kay) Rae; and her dear nieces who looked out for her and cared for her along with Carol and Nancy Demmin.
Preceding her in death was her parents; husband; siblings, Erlene (Dale) Irwin, Mercy (Wilbur) Warwick, Jane (Kenneth) LaViolette, Joyce (Richard) Vertz, Allen (Leonette) Demmin, Russell Demmin, Joanelle (Tink) Otis, Chris Demmin, Warren Demmin; brothers-in-law, Bruce, David and James Rae.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Huehns Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Schroeder officiating. Burial will be at Schumacher Cemetery in the Town of Nasewaupee.
Friends may call at Huehns Funeral Home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m.
