Justin Sager Obituary

     Justin Wyatt Sager, 36, of Germantown Hills, IL, died Friday afternoon, March 2, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, WI.

     He was born April 13, 1981 in Rushville, the son of Wyatt and Sarita Webb Sager. Justin graduated from Beardstown High School in the class of 1999 and from Monmouth College in 2004. On April 16, 2011, he married Kacy Lyn Poorbaugh at Morton United Methodist Church in Illinois where he was currently a member. Justin was employed with Caterpillar Inc. since 2005.      

     His wife and children were the pride and joy of his life. Justin leaves a legacy in the integrity of his character, his kind and humorous spirit, his passion for the outdoors and traveling (especially to Door County, WI), and his zest in all his relationships.

     He will be deeply missed by his wife, Kacy (and their two children, Norah Lyn and Keller); parents, Wyatt and Trish Sager of Beardstown, IL; sister, Nicole(Jason) Potts of Morton, IL; nieces and nephew, Caroline, Charlotte, and Henry Potts; parents-in-law, Kip and Deanna Poorbaugh of Tremont, IL; brother-in-law, Kris Poorbaugh of San Francisco, CA; grandparents, Sara and Gary Orwig, Joanna Sager, Don and Ellen Willms, and Sherrilyn Poorbaugh; and several loving aunts and uncles; and cousins.

     Justin was preceded in death by his mother, Sarita; and grandfathers, Boyd Sager and Bill Webb.

     His life will be honored with a funeral service held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Morton United Methodist Church 420 N. Tennessee St., Morton, IL 61550. Justin’s family will visit with friends at the church on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. 

     A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Hirstein Cemetery near Morton.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given for the “Justin Sager Memorial Fund” (established at Morton Community Bank) for the benefit of his children.
