Judith Germain Obituary

Judith A. Germain, 82 years of the Town of Nasewaupee, passed away Friday evening, November 19, 2021, at Door County Medical Center.

She was born on January 19, 1939, in Aurora, Illinois, the only child of Arthur and Gladys (Clark) Pieper. Judy graduated from Austin High School in Chicago in 1957. She retired from her work as an accountant for Will County Senior Services in Joliet, Illinois. She also had owned and operated several businesses with her husband Arnold.

On January 26, 1980, she married Arnold E. Germain at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Joliet. They moved to Door County full time in 2008 to the home in Nasewaupee that had been purchased by Arnold’s parents in the 1940’s.

Judith volunteered her time at the Door County Senior Center ADRC assisting with tax return preparation. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed solving puzzles and playing board games. Judith was liked by everyone she met, and never had a bad word to say about anyone.

She will be missed by her husband, Arnold Sr.; daughter, Linda (Antonio) Brazzale of Plainfield, Illinois; two stepchildren, Arnold Jr. (Sue) Germain of Plainfield, Illinois, Cynthia (Monica Ramirez) Germain of Sturgeon Bay; three grandchildren, Jeremy and Sarah Brazzale, Alan Germain; two step-grandchildren, Tiffany Green and Calindy Green-Hayden; and her sister-in-law, Deardra Lindsay of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Huehns Funeral Home. Burial will be at Hainesville Cemetery.

Friends may call Wednesday at Huehns Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.
