Jorja Kae Hutton Obituary

Jorja Kae Hutton, 72 years, of Algoma, formerly of Sturgeon Bay, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at her home in Algoma surrounded by her family.

She was born August 31, 1953 in Sturgeon Bay, the daughter of the late Glenn and Beverly (Logerquist) Anderson. Jorja graduated from Gibraltar High School in 1971. On January 16, 1988 she married Michael Hutton at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellison Bay.

She worked at various jobs that accentuated her personality, working with people and serving others. She was a strong, independent woman who loved her family. She was a great cook and with her waitressing abilities it was only natural that she worked throughout the county at different restaurants. Early on she started that path at the Viking Restaurant in Ellison Bay, The Deli in Sister Bay, and many years with Scaturo's in Sturgeon Bay. More recently she was a sought-after specialty baker of custom designed cakes and cookies.

She was a passionate Wisconsin sports fan. Game time was special at her home whenever the Packers, Badgers or Brewers were playing. Jorja was an extremely talented artist and crafter of many different mediums. She loved traveling with her husband Michael, and touring together on their Harley. She coached youth bowling for many years in Sturgeon Bay at Apple Valley Lanes, where she was also an avid bowler herself. Jorja was also a very big Elvis Presley Fan.

Surviving family includes her husband, Michael of Algoma; three children, Bjorn (Nicole) Anderson of Algoma, Alisa (Robert) Rupp of Sturgeon Bay, and Casey Jo (Fiancé, Clayton Herlache) Hutton of Wrightstown; two grandchildren, Jase, and Hunter; two brothers, Ronald (Pam) of Chicago, and Randy (Jean) Anderson of Green Bay; two brothers-in-law, Jerry (Jean) Hutton, Pat (Carissa) Hutton; four sisters-in-law, Mary (Richard) Berg, Tammy (Jeff) Walters, Dawn (Terry) Chier, and Ann (Tryg) Jensen; brother-in-law, Michael Thielke; along with many nieces and nephews. She will also be greatly missed by her two dogs, George and Lemmy. Preceding her in death was her parents, Glenn and Beverly Anderson; one sister, Glenna Gay; and one sister-in-law, Debbie.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at Schinderle Funeral Home in Algoma on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from noon until the time of service at 3:00 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to Jerry Parrin's "Cruise for Cancer" (c/o Vandervest-Harley-Davidson, 1966 Velp Ave, Green Bay WI 54303; www.cruiseforcancer.org/donate/).
