Jane Ellen Roalkvan-Sincock, from the Town of Nasewaupee, passed away unexpectedly at her home Tuesday morning, February 11, 2025. She was 69.
Born on June 21, 1955, to Robert and Elaine Roalkvan, Jane grew up in Milwaukee, Wis., the second of five children. She graduated from John Marshall Junior Senior High School in June of 1973.
Jane bought her first car and first house on her own shortly after graduation, and remained just as independent and resourceful throughout her life. In 1973, Jane also began her lifelong career as a public servant with the U.S. Social Security Administration. She served until December 2010, when she retired as District Manager of the Green Bay, Wis. office.
She always believed everything happened for a reason, and one of those everything’s was finding the love of her life. Jane met George in December 1995. They married on May 15, 2010, and were together for more than 30 years.
After retirement, Jane and George built their dream house on the waterfront of Sturgeon Bay. There they liked watching Door County sunsets, enjoying the wildlife and welcoming grandchildren to build snow forts in winter and swim in the bay in summer.
Throughout her life, Jane was an avid golfer, enjoyed puzzle games and appreciated the company of good friends and family. She loved cows, dogs, watching Judge Judy and knowing nearly every answer on Jeopardy! She had her own way of organizing everything. Fiercely smart and forthright, Jane lived with conviction. She was forever thoughtful, honest and attentive of others.
Jane is survived by her husband, George; children, Erica (Greg) Schueller, Matthew (Becki) Schulz, Sarah (Chris) Wolak, Jacob (Alyssa) Sincock, and Benjamin (Paige) Sincock; grandchildren, Everett, Norah, Grace, Grant, and Zeke; siblings, Debra (Al) Labermeier, Roberta Roalkvan, Todd (Teresa) Roalkvan, and Lars (Donna) Roalkvan; and sisters-in-law, Joy Bermudez, and Gay (Dan) Magno. Jane is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Jane was preceded in death by her father, Robert Henry Roalkvan and mother, Elaine Irma Roalkvan.
