James Edwin Crass

     James Edwin Crass, 76, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Bellin Memorial Hospital in Green Bay.

     He was born March 25, 1945 in Sturgeon Bay, son of the late Merton Joseph and Sylvia Elsie (Walker) Crass. Jim worked as a concrete truck driver for over 40 years. On April 26, 1991, he and Christine Irene (Nell) were united in marriage. Jim enjoyed watching NASCAR and Wisconsin Badgers football games, playing softball, and RC Racing. He had a deep love for animals and visited The Farm frequently.

     Jim will be missed by his wife of 30 years, Chris of Sturgeon Bay; son, Tim (Stacey) Crass of Fond du Lac; brothers, Roger Crass, Dale (Sue) Crass, and Phil (Debbie) Crass; sister, Susie (Jim) Shaw; brother-in-law, Jim (Debbie) Nell; best friend of over 70 years, Dale Peterson; and many nieces and nephews.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, Merton and Sylvia Crass; brother, Charles Crass; sisters, Karen (Edward) Warren and Shirley (Rod) Miller; and sister-in-law, Suncha Crass.

     Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Huehns Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. No services will be held.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Jim’s name to the Wisconsin Humane Society Door County Campus or the Alzheimer’s Association. The family wishes to thank Unity Hospice and Bellin Memorial Hospital for their care and support.
