Jacqueline Marie McCoy, 65, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born August 18, 1959, in New York, NY, the daughter of James and Arden (Long) Masso. Following her graduating from high school, Jacqueline attended and graduated from Cosmetology School.
Jacqueline was passionate and creative, and she could take anything and turn it something beautiful. She was magic! She was an avid reader, DIY'er, gardener/landscaper, and could tell you the name of any plant or flower. Jacqueline spent most of her adult life as a homemaker, carrying her magic into making summer memories with the kids, decorating for holidays, and establishing traditions that will be carried on for lifetimes to come.
Jacqueline's personality could light up a room. She was honest, a force of nature, a living book of knowledge who had a big heart and great sense of humor. Her door was always open to anyone in need. Jacqueline was selfless, a natural caregiver. She was a straight shooter, unfiltered, and her advice always presented a unique and new perspective. She was a great cook, and serving a good meal was one of her many love languages.
Jacqueline will be missed by her three children, Ashley (Jerry Nimmer) McCoy of Egg Harbor, Chance (Jena Burlo) McCoy, Markie (Alex Vial) McCoy. Three grandchildren, Brody Nimmer, Madalyn McCoy, Brynlee Nimmer; siblings, Jeffrey (Lori) Masso of Panama City, FL, Randall (Elizabeth) Masso of San Antonio, TX, Lisa (James) Kruppa of Des Plaines, IL, Rebecca (Lars) Braschnewitz of Sturgeon Bay, Danielle (Jerry) Vavra, Streamwood, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and son, Scott Masso.
Jacqueline fought tenaciously at an incurable cancer for the past year so that she could make every second count with the ones she loved.
Per her wishes, the family had a small, intimate celebration of life in lieu of a service.
