Gail Joyce Klima, born July 31, 1941 in Chicago passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023. Daughter to June Anderson, homemaker and Horatio Winsauer, Chicago fireman. Born and raised in Chicago and Evanston, IL, Gail attended both Evanston High School and Schurz High School.
Gail was a member of Sons of Norway in Illinois and Wisconsin. She was also a master at making Scandinavian meatballs and krumkake. Her enjoyment in life was cooking, decorating her home for the holidays, reading and her dogs; Eli being her most recent beloved pet.
Gail is survived by her daughter, Deborah Joyce Vaillancourt of Illinois; and son, Brian Scott (Tina) Peterson of Ellison Bay, WI; six grandchildren; sister, Lois Jean (Numon) Rollins; brother, James David (Betty) Balfanz; godchildren, Kevin and Michael; nephew, Keith; nieces, Patrice and Rebecca; daughter-in-law, Cindy Klima and her children, Kirsten, Alexis and Matthew; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Karin Klima and their son Tyler.
Gail was proceeded in death by her husbands, Arthur Klima (tool and die maker) and Robert Peterson (decorator and mechanic).
Burial will take place at Acacia Park in Chicago, IL.
