Fredric Stuart Rounds

Fredric Stuart "Ted," "Fred," "Freddy" Rounds, of Green Bay, formerly of Ashwaubenon, was born on May 3, 1952, and passed away on March 30, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fay and Winifred (McCallister) Rounds.

Fredric was a dedicated union construction worker with Laborers' Local 539, where he spent many years working hard and earning the respect of those around him. He took pride in what he did and in providing for the people he cared about.

He was the beloved father of Matt Van Duyse and a brother to Judy, Holly, Jean, Joyce, and Jack. He is also remembered by many extended family members and close friends, including Sue, Eugene, Mike, Sarah, Jon, Kris, and JoJo, a therapy dog who visited him regularly in the hospital and at Amethyst of Algoma, where he spent his final days.

Fredric was known for being hardworking, loyal, and always willing to help others-often going out of his way without expecting anything in return. He had a great sense of humor and could be a bit grumpy at times, but those who knew him best understood that was part of who he was and often found humor in it.

He appreciated the simple things in life. He loved gardening and took pride in keeping his lawn looking its best. He enjoyed watching birds and caring for his birdhouses and birdbath. He liked learning new things, reading Popular Mechanics, and listening to Car Talk with a cup of coffee.

He also had a passion for classic cars and could often be heard naming them as they drove by, a small but lasting reminder of his knowledge and personality.

At family gatherings-especially Christmas-Fredric was never one to sit still. He could always be found cleaning up wrapping paper or helping clear the table, quietly taking care of things without needing recognition.

Fredric will be remembered for his strength, his work ethic, his humor, and the many ways he showed up for others throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
