Eric C. Hagman

     Eric C. Hagman, 58 years old, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Saturday, the 28th day of January 2023, after a courageous and inspirational fight against cancer.

     He was born December 30, 1964, in Geneva, IL, the son of the late Deane and Barbara (Collin) Hagman. Eric graduated from Whitewater High School in 1981.

     After high school, he served his country and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy before entering a career as an EMT and Paramedic in Chicago, IL. He obtained certifications to be a Paramedic preceptor (educator), a helicopter rescue medic in addition to a scuba rescue diver. He also taught CPR classes.

     Eric moved to Sturgeon Bay, WI in 1992, after meeting his fiancé, Jennifer and worked for his father-in-law in the coin-op industry. Also, Eric worked as a specialist for a copier and computer business. Eric was a familiar face to many in our community as he worked for Spectrum Cable as a technician for 15 years until his health led him to retire.

     On April 3, 1993, he married Jennifer Lyn Braun at Sturgeon Bay Methodist Church.

     Family was everything to Eric. He was a very kind and respectful person to everyone he met. Eric enjoyed scuba diving, being a leader in Boy Scouts, seeing his son achieve Eagle Scout, working with electronics, downhill skiing, boating, kayaking, waterskiing and not to forget enjoying his favorite Christmas Swedish dinners.

     Surviving family include his wife, Jennifer; two children, Karl, and Anna; three sisters, Deanna (Eric) Paulsen, Catherine (David) Gibbons, Carin Hagman; and brother, Leif Hagman; and in-laws, Daniel and Peggy Braun.

     Preceding him in death were his parents; and sister-in-law, Mandy Weis Hagman.

     Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at Huehns Funeral Home with Rev. Dawn Volpe officiating. Burial will be at Bayside Cemetery.

     Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2023 and on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:30 p.m.

     The family requests masks be worn by all attending visitation and service.
