Elsie Friday Obituary

      Elsie Friday, 74, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away Friday, January 3, 2020 at her home.

     She was born August 21, 1945 in Kiel, the daughter of the late Frank and Matilda (Schicker) Broeckel. Elsie attended Sevastopol School. She married Ron Friday at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay. She enjoyed playing cards and solving puzzles. Elsie was an avid Elvis Presley fan and collector.

     She will be missed by her son, Jesse Friday of Golden, CO; dear friend of 38 years, Kenneth A. Smith of West Jacksonport, and his family, Kandie (Mike) Skippon of West Jacksonport [and their children, Brandi Pumphrey and Amanda Skippon], and Lorie (Mike) Orthober of Egg Harbor [and their children, Joe Orthober and Susie Haen]; two granddaughters, Nicki Griffin and Linzy Storm; six great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, Glen Roy and Elroy, and Delores (Robert) Weber; and brother-in-law, Rob Robison of Sturgeon Bay.

     Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Penny Friday; and sister and two brothers, Terry Robison, and Leo and Danny.

     A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with Pastor Peter Lindemann officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in West Jacksonport.

     Visitation for family and friends will be held at Huehns Funeral Home on Monday, January 13, 2020 from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
