Doris Johanna (Kirkegaard) Kazenske

     Doris Johanna Kazenske passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019.

     She was born in Chicago, IL, to Hans and Thora Kirkegaard. She graduated from Kelvin Park High School.

     Doris was united in marriage to Al Kazenske in March of 1952. The couple made their home in Bensenville, until they moved to Door County in 1972. Doris ran the Door County Market and Bakery until she and Al retired in 1991. She then started Kitty Korner in 1992 ’til present.

     She is survived by her husband, Al; three children, Jeffrey Alan Kazenske of Ramona, CA, Raymond Paul (Kathryn Ann Soukup) Kazenske of Sturgeon Bay, and Katherine Ann Kazenske of Fish Creek. She was a proud grandmother of six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren.

     She had a full life, and we will miss her terribly.

     Graveside services will be held at a later date at Blossomberg Cemetery in Peninsula State Park. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Wisconsin Human Society – Door County Campus and think of Doris. Heartfelt thanks for your thoughts and prayers for us.
