Daniel Haen Obituary

     Daniel Gary Haen, 71, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 16, 2019. 

     He was born July 11, 1948 in Sturgeon Bay, the son of the late Harvey George and Helen Ella Charlotte (Martens) Haen. After graduating from Gibraltar High School, he proudly served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War.  Dan owned Harbor Service in Egg Harbor before working at Bay Ship and Marine Travel Lift. He enjoyed reading, watching old movies, and collecting car magazines. 

     Dan is survived by his sisters, Judi (Arvin) Dexheimer, Donna (Harvey) Jorns, both of Sturgeon Bay, and Yvonne (James) Koeppl of Zion, IL; brother, John (Karen) Haen of Cedarburg; 14 nieces and nephews; step-children; and dear friends, Eileen Heath and Verl Heath. 

     Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Helen Haen. 

     A memorial service to honor Dan’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with Fr. Ron Colombo officiating.  Military honors will be performed after the service. He will be laid to rest in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Egg Harbor. 

     Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
