Audrey Ann Hogan, 92, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Sturgeon Bay Health Services.
She was born September 4, 1933 in Sturgeon Bay, the daughter of Eli and Olga (Hendrick) Schumacher. Audrey grew up attending Saints Peter and Paul Parish and graduated from Sevastopol High School.
On November 15, 1952, Audrey married her high school sweetheart, Raymond Francis Hogan, at her home church, Saints Peter and Paul.
They were blessed with seven children: Christine, Janice, Daniel, David, Alan, Ann, and Stacey. Audrey worked for Emerson Motors in Sturgeon Bay as part of the wire assembly staff for overthinking 30 years in addition to caring for her family at home.
Over the years she and Ray attended Mass at Saints Peter and Paul, Stella Maris Parish at both the Jacksonport and Egg Harbor sites, and in later years were members of Corpus Christi Parish in Sturgeon Bay.
Audrey and Ray shared over 62 years of marriage. He died suddenly in an automobile accident on June 5, 2015.
Audrey was a hard worker, but above all, she was a good mom. She enjoyed spending time in her garden, which allowed her to can potatoes, pickles, carrots, radishes, and corn. Venison also one of the canned foods kept ready at home.
Audrey will be missed by her children, Janice (Jim) Thanasue of Charlevoix, MI, Dan (Patti) Hogan of New Jersey, Dave (Gail) Hogan of Neenah, Alan (Theresa) Hogan of Georgia, Ann (Dennis) Ploor, and Stacey (Jason Gardner) Wagner Gardner, both of Sturgeon Bay; 20 grandchildren; siblings-in-law, Jim (Sandy) Hogan of Greenleaf; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Christine Riccobene (2018); son-in-law, Chris Wagner; siblings-in-law, Gordon (June) Schumacher and Irene (Edwin) Poehler; sister-in-law, Eunice (Larry) Pagenkopf; and other relatives.
Audrey will be laid to rest in Nicolet Memorial Gardens in the Town of Scott, beside her husband, Ray with a private graveside committal with Dcn. Bob Miller officiating.
