Arlene Louise Fisher, age 90 of the Town of Fish Creek, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023. She was born on June 8, 1933, to the late Thomas and Alice (Anderson) Wesa in Fish Creek, WI. She graduated from Gibraltar High School. Arlene was united in marriage to John Randolph Fisher on February 13, 1954, in Manitowoc, WI. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2001.
Arlene had a passion for cooking, and she was good at it. She enjoyed making special treats for friends and family, especially her grandsons, Greg, Daron and Kevin.
Arlene is survived by her daughters, Jacky (John) Van Doren of Fish Creek and Judy (Steve) Korte of Fish Creek; grandsons, Gregory (Jenny) Musil of Manitowoc, Daron (Bonnie) Korte of Minneapolis, MN, and Kevin Korte of Fish Creek; great-granddaughter, Simone Korte; and great-grandson, Jude Korte. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Fisher; parents, Thomas and Alice Wesa; and brothers, Donald (Lois) Wesa, Harris Wesa, Thomas (Nancy) Wesa, Jr., and Gerald “Jerry” Wesa.
The Fisher family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of the Pete and Jelaine Horton Center Skilled Nursing Facility for the special care she was given. They would also like to thank all the family and friends that took time to visit Arlene over the years.
A private family service for Arlene will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Arlene’s name to the Door County Medical Memorial Hospital Foundation, Inc., Skilled Nursing Facility Donation, P.O. Box 230, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235.
