Anthony Paul Polich, “Tony” to all who knew him, 57, of the Town of Egg Harbor, passed away early Monday evening, December 13, 2021 at Door County Medical Center in Sturgeon Bay.
He was born November 14, 1964, the son of Martin Peter Polich and Elaine Ann (Gillick) Polich. Tony grew up attending Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church and School and graduated from Sevastopol High School with the class of 1983.
Tony was employed with Parent Construction, while studying at NWTC and became a master plumber, with his inspector license.
Tony established Polich Excavating & Plumbing over decade ago; his hard work and determination has made it the success that it is today.
He was united in marriage to Resa Ohnesorge and had many happy years together. She preceded him in death on April 29, 2009.
A couple years later Tony met Vicki, and together they enjoyed each other’s companionship for the last several years.
He enjoyed snowmobiling and was an avid collector of vintage snowmobiles. Tony loved his antique tractors and pulled his favorites at the Valmy Thresheree, Alaska (near Algoma), and Kewaunee. He was a skilled mechanic and worked on all his own equipment. Tony looked forward to his vegetable garden every year to share with all his friends.
He will be missed by Vicki Foxworthy and her family; siblings, Monica (Kerry) Field, Peter (Valerie) Polich, Jesse (Terry) Hockers, Theresa (Jason) Hockers-Willems, and Jamie (Dan) Nowak; his birth mother, Carol Hockers; other family members; and many friends.
