Andrew Martin Hartel, Jr.

Andrew Martin Hartel, Jr., age 67, of Sturgeon Bay, WI, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, after a three-year battle with cancer.

He was born in Sturgeon Bay, WI on June 12, 1956, to Andrew and Mary (Walker) Hartel.

Andrew graduated from Southern Door High School in 1974 and worked at PBI as an outside machinist and then at Bay Shipbuilding in various jobs, including Tool Room Maintenance until retirement in 2018. 

On October 22, 1999, Andrew was united in marriage to Lisa Ann Budsberg in Sturgeon Bay, WI.

Andrew was a member of the Boilermakers Union. He had many interests including cross stitching, pixel art, bowling, golfing, softball, darts, and dartball.

Andrew is survived by his wife, Lisa; daughter, Stephanie (Neil) Sealey of Sturgeon Bay; step-daughter, Desirae Wierzba; step-grandson, Justin Jandron; siblings, Randy (Phyllis) Hartel, Bernadette (Dave) Malvitz, Michael Hartel, Sr., Joseph (Shelley) Hartel, and Patrick (Ann) Hartel; and siblings-in-law, Randy (Kathy) Budsberg and Jeffrey (Renee) Budsberg. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unity Hospice.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Huehns Funeral Home on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
