Agnes L. Anschutz

     Agnes “Aggie” L. Anschutz, 96 of Sturgeon Bay passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Sturgeon Bay Health Services.

     Agnes was born January 13, 1926, the daughter of the late William and Rose (Geitner) Reynolds. Agnes graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School. She worked at Milwaukee Shoe Company for 20 years and later went to Emerson Motors Company until she retired in 2006. She also worked at Maxwelton Braes for 15 years as the head of housekeeping.

     On January 22, 1944, she married August Harold Anschutz in Sturgeon Bay. He preceded her on April 28, 1992.

     Agnes was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in West Jacksonport. She enjoyed playing cards and watching the Brewers.

     She will be missed by her daughter, Karen Anschutz of Sturgeon Bay; daughter-in-law, Carol; grandsons, Steven and Brian; great-grandchildren, Allison and Maxwell; other relatives and friends.

     Preceding her in death were her parents, William and Rose Reynolds; husband, August “Augie”; son, Merlin; grandson, Jason; sister, Katherine (Joseph) Salm; brothers, Herbert, Fritz, Don, and Karl Reynolds; and brothers-in-law, James (Marilyn), Norman (Ruth), Oliver (Jeanette), Milton (Betty), and Edward (Florence) Anschutz.

     Funeral services will be Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in West Jacksonport with Pastor Peter Lindemann officiating. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
