Adeline Kramer Obituary

Adeline M. Kramer, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and community member, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024, at the age of 91. Born in Waushara County, Town of Oasis on June 3, 1933, Adeline was the cherished daughter of Albert F. and Pauline M. Keenlance.

Adeline graduated from Tri County High School in Plainfield, Wisconsin. After graduation, she moved to Milwaukee for work. It was there she met her future husband, Kennett C. Kramer, on a blind date. The couple fell in love and were married nine months later on September 3, 1955. Adeline and Kennett spent the first 17 years of their married life in Milwaukee and Waukesha, where they raised three wonderful children, Randal, Timothy, and Susan.

In 1972, the family moved to Door County, where they purchased a hobby farm. Adeline found great joy as a bus driver for the Southern Door School District, a position she held for over 30 years. She loved her work and cherished the children she drove to and from school each day.

As a dedicated member of the Cherryland Horse Drill Team and a leader in the Door County 4 H program, Adeline’s commitment to these organizations was a testament to her love for animals and her community.

Adeline was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kennett, who passed away on December 18,1996. Four years after his passing, she found companionship and happiness with her friend and partner, Ray Challe.

Adeline is survived by her devoted children: daughter Susan (Lance) Olson and sons Randy (Anita) Kramer and Tim (Kathy) Kramer. She is also survived by her beloved granddaughters: Cassie and Anissa Olson, Jessica Kramer, SanJuanna Garza, and Shannon Marksman.

Adeline was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Pauline, her brother, Vernon (Tex) Keenlance, and her twin sister, Arlene, who passed at birth.

Adeline’s legacy of love, dedication, and community service will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

In keeping with Adeline’s wishes, private family services were held. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Wisconsin Humane Society – Door County Campus.
