Abe Ploor

Abe Ploor, 58, of the Town of Sevastopol, Sturgeon Bay, was called to eternal rest on Monday evening, November 18, 2024 at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay following a recent stroke.

He was born on September 21, 1966 in Sturgeon Bay, the son of Daniel L. and the late Helen Ann (Conlon) Ploor. He attended SS Peter & Paul Catholic Grade School in Institute and graduated from Sevastopol High School in 1985. On November 25, 1988, he married Kristi Ann Moore.

Abe continued farming on the third generation Ploor family farm, along with owning and operating Building Services of Door County where Abe was a carpenter.

He will be missed by his wife, Kristi, with whom he shared nearly 36 years of marriage; children [and their families], Darin (Amanda) [Logan and Blake], Kimberly (Jeff ) Dart [Ian, Griffin and Hallie], Mark (Kolby); siblings, Lisa (John) Mueller, Nick Ploor, Wendy (Brian) Gerndt, Aaron Ploor, Chuck (Betsy) Ploor, and Becky (Chad) Williams; mother-in-law, Linda Moore; brother-in-law, Andrew (Tami) Moore; sister-in-law, Kelsey Moore; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother; father-in-law, Kerry Moore; sister-in-law, Suzanne Ploor.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be prayed at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Institute with Fr. Matthew Rappl and Fr. Matthew Simonar, concelebrating.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:40 a.m.
